Little things...

                 I stumbled upon a fact on the reason behind Lincoln's beard and was quite astonished. There was a 11 Year old girl whose dad was supporting Lincoln when he competed for the post of the President and this little girl wrote a letter to Lincoln on how good he will look with a beard and how she will campaign for bearded Lincoln. Moreover she insisted on how much women like bearded men, so that they will make their husbands vote for him. It might be a little thing to be ignored for anyone but not for this man. Its just about the importance we give to small things in our life and how those little things matter the most. Most of the times we never give importance to the person we really love and lose them in the long run and complain on how people change over time. Its our inability to make them realise how much they mean to us and vice versa. Do we ever care to greet or smile at a person? Think about it..Do we ever like a sulky conductor? We all cringe at the thought of rude people, but we all love a person being cheerful for no particular reason. Be it happiness or sadness, it's contagious.What we give to the world, it spreads and comes back. So why not be enthusiastic and be a person to welcome more possibilities? Next time when we come across a little compliment, let us make sure to acknowledge it.

Anna Vetticad says in her review of Gunjan Saxena, that it is a story of one remarkable woman, but also a story of every remarkable woman that ever lived. This one line summarises everything the movie aims to portray. It is not about patriotism, not about ‘dushman-desh’ or not even about the IAF. It is just about an innocent girl aiming to soar high but put down by the society that leaves no stone unturned to say that she is not worth her dreams. But, who are they to say anyways?
