Jampacked cars and buses, scorching sun, Aimless politicians, Irresponsible officials, helpless public,.. All at one place.. Why? For what? All the questions lead to one unfit answer that their leader has been given clean chit and ready to adorn the throne for the fifth time. With all due respect I understand the necessity of rejoicing and showing their support to the party.. But at what cost? Where are we headed at this rate? Does immobilizing a city make someone a super power? There were thousands of vehicles stranded in kamraj promenade for no particular reason and our otherwise efficient police men have become practically useless simply sitting on the ledges and basking in the glory of how the beach is being turned in to a resort for the party men. It was impossible for a common man to enter the beach with his family that day. The above scenario was a day before swearing in. Things were out of control on the much awaited day. Traffic was blocked for a circumference more than necessary. There were cars with party flags driving as if there are no one else and showing some kind of card(pass) to enter the roads blocked by the cops. I wish we were all given that pass to escape the late comings to our destinations. Police were not able to keep the traffic in check at crucial places. My bad! The police were not there to assist the v public. There were hundreds of police all along the deserted road meant for the C.M (may be just to salute her when she passes by) but not enough cops to monitor the traffic. When the faith in the system of the country is being lost, I see autowalas and rickshawalas helping each other by showing shortcuts to escape the torture we have been put through. Together as a nation, We grow!
Patiently,
Aswini
