Rain brings happiness

“Rain brings happiness” but guess that is not the actual case nowadays as we cringe at the thought of knee deep water making us sail through the roads and putting us through the hardship of getting jammed in the traffic. The more I think, the more I realise the serious consequences.
The climate was so awesome making it all the more pleasant for picturesque photos posing in the rain and traveling in empty bus to office .All thanks to the holidays declared for schools and colleges. But then the reality dwelled in when a dead cat fell from the sheets of the covered car. That is the reality we all ignore comfortably. It is nothing but a representation of people getting stranded due to heavy rain.
Let us not blame the encroachments in lakes and rivers(at least for now) as it is not the right time. Moreover the Govt. has also generously approved all the lakes in the city to turn into well established Residential establishments.
The plight of a common man is best understood in the serious traffic disaster the city experienced. Just a km took 2 hours long journey. One could easily see the plight of people getting over delayed to their destinations. Why does it happen? Let us all forget about the Government for a while. What have we done in such a crisis? Have we ever been more sensitive towards such situations? I see people cursing and getting into an argument with the bus drivers for the delay. Can we all please be a little more understanding? The hateful words would be of no use whereas a calm crowd would be of great help. Public transport has the utmost responsibility of taking care of the people during such situations and that is the reason plenty of people rely on it, yet we fail to acknowledge them at right times.
The best thing we could possibly do in such a situation is to remain calm or get off the bus and walk to our destinations. But we were hell bent on calling our family to our rescue and making the scenario all the more worse.
Imagine an ambulance trying to get past the traffic. It cant get worser than that.
If there is something the country is of great need, it is the self discipline of the citizens. Good Governance is possible only with self disciplined citizens. We all cringe at the thought of immersing our feet in the water yet spit in it as if that doesn't affect us. Stagnant water minus the spitting would do so much favor.

Rain brings more happiness if we all could be more self disciplined.
